Matt repairing a mountain bike at a community event

In partnership with EPIKS

Walk Wheel Ride

I help run these community events with EPIKS around the Colne Valley. You can join on foot or on wheels, and I bring the van and tools to check bikes before each ride.

Run in partnership with EPIKS

EPIKS organises the community side of each event and I look after the bikes. I carry out free safety checks, make small fixes where I can and explain if something needs more work later. The events are free, and you don't need to be a cyclist to join us.

What's on

Three ways to join in

Come for a walk, join on wheels or bring your bike for the ride. Choose whichever suits you.

Walk

A gentle walk out together. No bike needed, no pace to keep up with — just people getting out in the fresh air.

Wheel

For anyone on wheels of any kind, whether that's a trike, a scooter, an adapted cycle or a wheelchair. Everyone's welcome.

Ride

A friendly, easy-going ride on local routes. Bring whatever bike you've got and I'll make sure it's safe before we set off.

I'll be there with the van

Bring your bike over before the ride and I'll check the brakes, gears and tyres. I can usually sort small adjustments while you wait, and the check doesn't cost anything.

  • Your bike, however it's looking — mud and all
  • A helmet if you've got one
  • Sensible shoes and a coat, it's Yorkshire
  • A drink of water for the longer rides
